Thanks for this. The notion of hands-on or craft comes through strongly and that has been the appeal for me.

I appreciate that the movie wasn’t dogmatic about the use of film. As the guy at the end said, there’s great stuff being done with both media.

I really enjoyed this and understand most of what they are saying. Going back through my print boxes only amplifies the message.

Not just youngsters either - Bruce Gilden, Alex Soth etc.

There is a comment about the candid nature of a box of photos and it reminded me of this. Dropped my Mum off at my brothers house just before Christmas and stopped for a coffee

I never stopped using film and I don't own a digital camera, apart from my phone, so it is business as usual for me. I now scan my film but I have a complete darkroom in mothballs.
