An interesting documentary about contemporary photographers committed to film photography.

Thanks for this. The notion of hands-on or craft comes through strongly and that has been the appeal for me.
I appreciate that the movie wasn’t dogmatic about the use of film. As the guy at the end said, there’s great stuff being done with both media.

These kids talk about photography with film as if it were something unearthed from a drowned Atlantean culture after thousands of years. Sheesh.
Are any of them older than 24?
Digital photography didn't become mainstream until around 2003 to 2007...!!!

I really enjoyed this and understand most of what they are saying. Going back through my print boxes only amplifies the message.
Not just youngsters either - Bruce Gilden, Alex Soth etc.
There is a comment about the candid nature of a box of photos and it reminded me of this. Dropped my Mum off at my brothers house just before Christmas and stopped for a coffee

The print isn’t as warm, but you get the idea!

I never stopped using film and I don't own a digital camera, apart from my phone, so it is business as usual for me. I now scan my film but I have a complete darkroom in mothballs.
