Has Science Gone Too Far?

OMG that's beautiful, AND the culmination of the Exakta aesthetic. 1940's bling brought into the 21st century, both tastefully and accurately.

I have a feeling it's gold wash on the brass bits, and gold paint on the body and some other bits. I don't think it would hold up to use very well.

Ugly as hell. BTW, if the leopard fur is fake, it is very tacky as well. If the fur is real, it is illegal and the camera is subject to confiscation, as it is illegal to own items made from endangered/protected species.

I've never understood the necessity to cover one's tool in gold plate and parade it down the street (oooer, missus....!!) I'm sure it would attract attention - but not the sort of attention I'd be happy receiving.

Some photographers crave attention. Actually not some but a lot 🙄

Personally I won't go into a public place with the red dot showing. Just a little black tape...
