I would keep the one in better condition.
The M4-P also has 75mm framelines. The M6 is essentially an M4-P with a meter.
And BTW, the M4-2 and M4-P were NOT produced at the same time. The M4-P was produced after the M4-2.
Actually, I didn't vote. To be honest I'm not sure what I would do in this situation. If I had your preferences, I'd likely sell both and get an M6. All of the things you like about the M4-P are present in a black M6 - and you'd have a meter. At the point it needs to be serviced have the flare resistant condenser added to the RF.... What would you do?
Touchy, aren't we? I wasn't referring to your post ...Here is what I wrote , check it : " Look again, the M4-P is the later made M4-2 with a finder with line marks for a 28mm lens and and the letter P stamped."
Nowhere there did I write they were made at the same time.
Here ... Perhaps I should have been clearer who "and BTW" was answering .... I believe that the M4-P was given the "P" for "professional". I think it was produced at the same time as the M4-2; ...

I'll even forget that you just wrote " I certainly meant to offence".
My guess this is a typo, to should be no...
Oops! Yes, that was a typo. It's been corrected.... I'll even forget that you just wrote " I certainly meant to offence".
The opening post to this thread says a herd of Leicas; suggesting more than just two.
I'd want to know what the others are before answering...
