Raid, I may be off base, but why not go the other way and get a wide such as a 21 or 18 Zeiss?
Raid, I'll be the contrarian.
Your stuff is well centered around 50 mm, but you like to go long as well.
I am assuming you have tried, but don't care for the Hexanon lenses,or you'd have one.
I have to tell you, the medium wide length is lacking for you, and the lens which has changed my thinking the most is the Hexanon 28/2.8. You live in Forida, so especially outdoors, low light is at a minimum. For the money, I think you'd be surprised how happy you might find yourself with something like Krosya's hex 28 (no, he isn't going to give me a finder's fee), and the initial entry doesn't take you out of the 75 range if you bank it and add a little along. Meanwhile, you have a length you have added that might please you for a reasonable amount.Much cheaper than a 28 cron or cron ASPH.
I'm biased, admittedly, toward wides, since I have more than one (I got the best, a UC Hex from Mike Tuomey which I'd like to weld to my MP. But from my view, you have been handling your portraiture quite nicely, thank you very much...
So, there are my MICRO-cents.

I also shoot pairs of lenses. My first choice of late have been the 28 and 75 Summicrons, which on my M8.2's closely replicate the 35 & 90 I used to regularly shoot with on my M6's. I recently acquired a 35 & 60 pair of f-1.2's in lieu of a Noctilux. I prefer the flexibility of both lenses. I could easily see a 75 Summilux (v2) as a compliment to the 35/1.2, especially at $1500.
Were I you I would jump on the 75 Summilux and keep my eyes open for a deal on a 35/1.2. Less than 3 weeks ago I missed out on one in the RFF classifieds and a couple of days later scored one for $135 less. The 35/1.2's are out there, but 75 Summiluxes at that price will be many fewer and much farther in between.
Do you have those pics posted some place, Raid? I'd like to check them out.

Hello Roger,
I will check out how safe the accomodations are. I would be staying at Professors' quarter at a German university there.
I am still balancing high contrast with lower contrast lenses in my "set".Both have a place in my photography.

Hi Helen,
I will soon have another RFF classified ad in which I will put up for sale several items to finance the Summilux 35mm 1.4. I guess, the lens would be a Version 2, as Hung has said. Hopefully, this is a good version of this lens. I have never used a Lux except a loaner 50mm 1.4.
Which 35mm is a better overall lens; the Summilux 35 1.4 or the Nokton 35 1.2? Prices are somewhat higher for the Lux.
Hello Hung,
Thanks. Yes, the Version 2 lens costs somewhere there. Still, the website you refer to always has very low low prices that are never found online. There is a 35mm 1.4 right now on ebay for $1390. The other 35mm 1.4 go for over $2500. I will pay less than that if I buy this lens.
... in anywhere there are half-competent police.
Hi Dan,Hello Raid,
I am not sure why you would state my site has "low low" pricing info...the last 35/1.4 S7 lux I see on ebay sold for $ 1229 USD on ebay.... thats below the 1350-1550 range I have.... see http://cgi.ebay.com/Leica-Summilux-...ries?hash=item35a328ca7e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 and here is another S7 Lux with Buy it now at $ 1390 USD http://cgi.ebay.com/Leica-Summilux-M-35mm-f1-4-35-1-4-Ver-2-pre-ASPH_W0QQitemZ160359893899QQcategoryZ3323QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSI%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%252BFICS%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63 and another that sold at $ 1081 (with cleaning + coating marks ) http://cgi.ebay.com/LEITZ-CANADA-LE...nses?hash=item41489484f0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
So, I guess those examples contradict your statement that these prices are "never found online." I am not looking for a confrontation, but I think your opinion wasnt exactly accurate in your post. By all means I respect your contributions on RFF - especially your lens tests - but please be fair and dont make sweeping statements about my website - I put a lot of time and effort in producing these pages and try to post accurate information at the time they are published.
Also, if you read my pages, I state they are weighted to ebay pricing and if you buy from a dealer or retail source, expect to pay 15 to 20% more. I must say that my guides are generally quite accurate at the time they are updated and according to completed ebay auctions...do you know of other guides that are more accurate ? The goal of my pricing pages is to give the average buyer a sense of the range they should pay for a given item on ebay. Certainly ultimate condition is vital in that equation - especially for Leica equipment. Having said that, Leica pricing moves quickly ( up and down ) these days....
Also, I have read more than once that you dont like to involve yourself in auctions but generally "buy it now" or buy from other sources. That strategy would tend to make those items more expensive than an ebay auction.
Thank you,
Dan
