I was in town on Saturday morning to get a test roll from a Konica Auto S3 developed (using a lab I know, so the camera was the main variable). Since I had to wait a bit 'till the lab opened, I decided to use a roll of XP2 to see how the combination of my Hexar RF and Summilux 75 worked as a practical shooting combination. I was mainly interested in how the low magnification finder worked with focus accuracy - but I was far from being obsessive about using it wide open. Rather, I just wanted to see how well they seemed to work together.

I think they go pretty well, and it wasn't too hard getting focus. While the lens is large its not all that cumbersome in use and the little bit of moulded grip on the Hexar RF seems to help when carrying it in the hand, strap around the wrist.

I use the CV 75mm on my Hexar all the time. I prefer it to the 90mm as it adds jut enough additional fov. The summi is a great choice....nice shots.

Great pictures!

And of course focus is the least of your worries with a long lens on a Hexar. I found the 0.6x finder really difficult to frame a 90. The 75 lines looked ever so much nicer to judge what went on..
