Hmm. Voigtlander at Photokina

Steph, as great of lenses as those (could) be, i doubt Mr. K would give us some lenses that would be incredibly difficult to properly focus on his cameras...

now a fast 25, i could support!

(and some time down the road- an R2/3D)

A guess-time! Ok..

M mount 25, f/2 or faster
R3M non-anniversary edition

"DID" - Imagine those letters as lenses - wow a 25mm/2 Tessar!

The letters DID look more like a triplet (or heliar) to me. But a 25mm triplet-based design doesn't make sense: triplets and heliars don't have enough coverage.

Or maybe Mr. K is starting a new range of "digital" M mount lenses designed for the RD1 and the M8. A bright 25mm would be a good starting point...

Maybe a bit out of what one would expect but I'd lust for...

A 'redux' of one of the superb medium format folding cameras, and if he could come out with one featuring a moderate wide angle lens...well, then I would be facing exactly what I've been looking for as of lately.

That's what I had mentioned b4. A folding bellows with leaf shutter that takes 6x6 on 120 film and has a coupled RF...something like the Afga Isolette.

Heck, Seagull did it with the 203, why not Cosina? 🙂

Cosina already had camera chassis when they started Bessa line. With folder they will have to start from scratch, and it wouldn't sell nearly as well.

Stephen, will Cosina and Mr. K have a formal booth at Photokina or will he have a private meeting room only like in the past? I would love to see a booth at the Photo Plus Expo this November in NYC.

A fast and small 25/1.9 in M mount (like the Fuji Natura lens). Perhaps also a new metal 25 brightline finder as a companion.

Maybe some old body in a new color, like olive green. I think I would prefer a R2M in blue with chrome knobs (like the blue T101), but I am not buying as I have enough bodies already.

I think I would like to see a Bessa T digital with 1.33 crop and 6-8 megapixels, but I doubt it will happen...

Cosina is not listed. Voigtländer Hall 02.1, booth D020-D028

Oops yes Brian, sorry I didn't see your line mentioning the reborn Bessa MF 🙂

I've been shooting quite a lot lately with an (old) Voigtlander Bessa-I 6x9 and the more I used it the more I found the idea behind those cameras to be wonderful. It was also fun to see the same typography employed on the brand/model engravings of the Bessa-T I was shooting with also, hehe.

Been doing some more darkroom sessions as well, and the big negatives are really a god's gift there.

I loved everything from the trusty old 6x9, even not having a RF or a film advance lever was OK with me, but if it only would have the fov or let's say a 30-35 in 35mm, it would be an even nicer trekking companion.

I'm not sure if that's 'doable' though. In any case I'm already thinking on a homemade design...
