I recently got a collapsible 50 'cron and my 12504 hood fits, but spins around which is quite annoying. Would a 12585 do the same thing or should I just keep swapping the hood back and forth between my two lenses? Also, has anyone else struggled with the v3 35 summicron's aperture ring when using the 12504 hood or is it just me?

I put a little piece of electrical tape around the lens where that notch is and the tabs of the 12585 will grab it. Problem solved.

Agree with Phil. However, I would use gaffer tape instead of electrical tape. Gaffer tape leaves no residue and some of the electrical tape I've used before can get mighty sticky over time.
