It's as if someone knocked her out cold.

The guy used a Heliar Classic 50.
I've also added some Heliar samples tonight:

Weird. You almost expect to see Oscar the Death Cat curled up next to her.
Maybe she got shocking news over the cell phone in her hand...

I've seen people passed out from too much booze that look like that. Maybe she was just tired. And fortunately for her, Oscar isn't anywhere near her...

Can you imagine that you are sitting in the nursing home after eating your Jello Lunch and Oscar walks into your room and jumps on your lap. I think ,they should find a new home for Oscar.

How come you decided to steal the photo of his site and upload it here instead of just posting a link to it?

This photo appears to have been taken in Japan. From a holiday I spent there, I can say that it's very common to see people sleeping in public, especially on public transport. I think it's a consequence of a culture of over-work, though maybe one of the forum members who lives there could comment on it.

rather unpleasant sight as it reminds me of the drugaddicts I see every day at the central underground station

Sleeping on trains is quite comonplace in Japan based on my observations while there.

I think she's passed out by the way she's holding that phone. Or was just shot by a sniper.

One of my kids used to sleep sat upright, cross-legged, in a moving Land Rover when he was 3 yrs old
and keep perfect balance up hill, down dale.
I think if you're tired enough you can sleep anywhere.

Maybe she was smelling the seat?

Perhaps the photographer is a shy one and used chloroform while entering the train through that door behind her.

Do people miss their stops then? You'd have thought they'd wear signs like "please awaken for Shuriken stop".
I feel sorry for the girl though.

From the original article:
"Doctors say most of the people who get a visit from the sweet-faced, gray-and-white cat are so ill they probably don’t know he’s there. Most families are grateful for the advanced warning..."
But maybe we could create a virtual Oscar who would patrol RFF. I'd like to see him curl up with the "Where Did It All Go Wrong?" survey I started months ago, which still seems to be limping on... maybe we could insert a picture of him as a hint that it's time for a thread to die... come to think of it, it's probably time for this post to die, so here he is:

Looks like the person she least expected to gave her the flowers- overcome and fainted. We should all be so lucky.

That looks so painful. I only see a terrible backache.
