If it ain't copyrighted then it ain't stealing. Besides, he gave credit to the website.

She just looks tired to me. Long boring train ride is enough to put anyone to sleep, but somebody should have awoken that girl and fed her, she is skin & bones.

I see this quite often in the subway (Sapporo). When else should people sleep here ? Work (many have two jobs) from ~9am to 5pm, next job from ~6 to 11 pm, after work dinner, hanging out with firends. Especially in Tokyo a lot of people travel up to two hours (one direction) to work so sleeping in the subway is the only possibilty they have.

Usually, no. As a foreigner, you know you have been living in Japan too long when you develop the ability to sleep while standing on the train and are miraculously able to wake up at your stop.

Sometimes, especially after nomihoudai (an all-you-can-drink party at a restaurant or bar) and you've had too much to drink you wake up at the end of the train line in the middle of nowhere, with cows mooing at you. Sucks, 'cause then you have to pay for the taxi back to your stop (if you're like me and the last train has long since run).

Sigh...I miss Japan.

Wow, I'm back-reading the forum, and I came to this thread, so, I got to read all the responses all at once, and that just made me feel a weird outside-of-my-culture moment.

Yeah, its Japan, and, yeah, its different:

- Japan is safe
- The trains are safe
- The people aren't fat
- They pass out anywhere, en masse, and feel comfortable doing it
- Although they wouldn't consider it sanitary people in Japan sometimes flop over
- In Japan, she'd be considered "stacked"
- In Japan, taking pictures of incapacitated women is sometimes "chikan" (perverse)

On the other hand...

- We're not in Japan (some of us)
- Our trains are not safe (most of us)
- We are fat (us Americans...)
- We don't feel safe passing out in our cars, or anywhere (generally...)
- We like our women fat (in the US), even if just skinny + hilariously big boobs
- In America taking pictures of incapacitated women is a business (SG)

Viva la Differencia I guess. Remember, 88% of women in Japan think BGH's side-effects are a win-win. Perspective.

Yes, that is true. Only those of us who make our living from images don't necessairily find it funny.

In the past I have found websites full of my images. Used in a most inappropriate context, to add insult to injury. Tracking down the perpatrators and getting them to ceaase and desist was not fun.

I enjoy RFF but I'm sick and tired of folks ignoring, dismissing or making jokes about intellectual property matters.

Maddoc has it right. When else do you get to sleep? I am SO glad that I can sleep at home! I think she looks very cute considering.
