Has someone here got up to date information about the present M waiting times?
I was told 4-8 months this morning by Leica Shop Vienna. Is this what you have heard also?
I wonder what the official information straight from the horse's mouth is at the moment.

Yesterday I was told by one Leica dealer in Australia that their earliest delivery date is "sometime early next year". Another said that they have no timeline but if I pay them 20% of the purchase price up front they would let me know when hey heard something. I am waiting for 3 other Australian dealers to call me back.
Do any other Australian members have better information or tips on where to
buy?
Thanks

The best camera is one that still works!
By the time this camera becomes readily available photography may have moved on from digital!

I got mine on May 23rd from Samy's new San Francisco offshoot, but I had pre-ordered it with deposit the very day it was announced.
Of course, it had to arrive as I am recovering from a fractured clavicle (collarbone) in a car accident and thus unable to actually use the M240...
The good news is, it does not suffer from the initial quality control problems the M8 and M9 experienced. Definitely chunkier, including the battery. Live view and focus peaking works quite well (the focus peaking is quite subtle, though). Video seems jerky, but that could just be Lightroom.
