Why so many 50's ? Just get the best one you can get and move on to the other focal lenghts... Wow this RF-craze is definitely worlds apart from the DSLR craze..

If you count 55mm, 45mm, & 47mm among the "50's," I have over 60 in a variety of mounts, mostly Zeiss Ikon Contax RF & LTM. Not all of them are in shooting condition, of course . . .

Mini steam trains are neat... this is not a model railway that fits on a table, but actually working steam trains about 1/10th scale. Actually pulls passengers. I'll post a few shots I took of a local club a few months ago when I get home.

And yes, I agree, the RF craze IS worlds apart from the DSLR craze! DSLR's are all about newest and greatest which is only transient. RF's are about feel and quality, where a 1960's body or lens is "better" than a modern one.

The metal ones are timeless. The "polycarbonate wonders" have a limited number of mount/dismount cycles before they wear out.

I consider many classic RF bodies to be timeless. Still working well after 50 years and good for another 50 after a CLA. This is certainly not true of any DSLR body which is obsolete in 7 years.
Used L lenses are more expensive than icky old 50mm RF lenses.
