Hi Gents,
I have a question on how to extract Rollei 35 S lens assembly. Recently I got a Rollei 35S with some specks between elements, so I would like to remove the lens assembly, then elements, to clean it.
I did a try run on a 35 Tessar. For Tessar once you remove the three long screws from the back, the lens assembly core will fall out, with shutter and aperture control disconnected. Fairly straightforward.
However, the 35 S (Sonnar) is different. There are only two long screws on the back. I loosened them and the lens assembly is still stuck. Then I removed the focus ring from the front, hoping to rotate the assembly out. No I can only rotate less than one turn on the front.
Please advise.
