Hi

First off all, I am apologize if this question is already has been discussed here.
-Could someone recommend what is the good small flash that suited Leica MP? I am going to camp at the desert with some people next weekend, so I need some flash because it is completely dark there.
-How do you use the flash on the non-TTL MP? Could you explain step by step.

Thank you so much for helping.

With an RF, I prefer to use a small Sunpak DS-20. It has an automatic mode at f4 and its flash-head can rotate vertically for bounce, though bounce probably wouldn't be so important for the desert.

With an MP to capture candids, I'd set the shutter speed to the synch speed (1/50th) and use the flash at automatic at f4. If using color film, I might also tape a piece of CTO filter gel over the flash to warm up the the light if I have it.

Since the guide number of such a small flash maybe only about 60 @ ISO 100, I'd expose the film at 400.

If you have a chance to experiment with your set up before your trip that can only help your chances of keepers.
