Rising intonation which turns every statement into a question. If you are not sure ask a question.

"G'day" or "No worries", when spoken/written by a non-Aussie.
"Cheers", when spoken/written by a non-Brit.
"Eh?", when spoken/written by a non-Canuk.
"Have a nice day", when spoken/written by anyone.

Eh?
(Traditional British usage. Means 'What on earth are you talking about' or 'I can't/didn't hear you'. How does the Canuk usage vary? Pronunciation? It sounds just like 'A?' in English.)
Cheers,
R.

"Loose" when used as a variant of the word "lost".
As in "Where did I loose my dictionary?"
If you've lost something, people, you did not "loose" it!

I hate you lot! Now you've got me going on my pet hates...
Non-photography words:
key, impact, sustainable (in order of most over-used and abused)
Photography-related:
glass (you mean lens/lenses WITHOUT an "e" at the end)
bokeh (I just hate it)
Generally:
Any word misused by someone who thinks it's cleverer than using plain English and does so to try and cover their lack of vocabulary and to try and impress (they fail miserably).
Gratuitous apostrophes on plurals also annoy me (more so when applied randomly). I have a local shop whose sign proclaims they sell "Beer's Wine's Spirits and Cigarettes".

"cheers" makes the grade. Unless you're talkin' about the sitcom?
How about "Me no know" ?

Y'got me again, Roger... I dunno. It might be the same. The Canucks had to get it from somewhere, eh?
But WRT Brits... what's the expression they use in Lancs. for "mate"? I seem to recall finding that quite odd. Ahh, now I recall - they say, "Luv". Queer, I thought (implying multiple definitions of that word).

It's perfectly acceptable to most English-speakers, if not to American-speakers. Been in use since the 80s at least, especially as a sign-off to a phone conversation: cheers, mate.
Saw a bit of the sitcom once. Situation, unarguably. Comedy, no.
Cheers,

Band width: the width of a band.Non-Photo related... Tech words often make it into general use in a slightly annoying way. Like "Band width". Is that one word or two?
Bandwidth: the frequency range or information-carrying capacity of a signal transmission system (e.g. radio channel).

It`s usually " All right luv " but cheers as a sign off is used all the time now. By the way where is the toilet ?
