I hate this word...

a quick return visit here - after 24hrs...and no one seems to be tireing or running out of ideas (feeble though some are!) ...and I see no mention of the fact that nowadays people don't do something - they like do it! ...nowhatimean? :D
Seeyalater! (even if I won't) - Dave.

Oops. That told me.

I'll have to revise - I hate the word 'key' when managers use it to mean "quite important". Especially when it's over-used during a really dull company briefing!

PS - Thank you for all the information on your site, I've learning quite lot from it :)

roger has a lot of key information on his site...;)

Here's one that's in use on another thread - - in the UK, a pimp is someone who manages the affairs, and 'looks after' prostitutes.....how does this equate to camera decoration?......and while I'm at it - does 'chimping' involve monkeys using cameras? :D
Dave.

Dave, pimps traditionally wear ostentatious clothes, sport a lot of gold jewelry, etc., so you "Pimp Up" your car when you put spinners on your wheels, that sort of thing. Or Pimp Up your M6 with a new bright red skin...and if you're "into leather" a nice new Luigi half case perhaps? Maybe instead of "half case" he should say "bikini case". "Wrist straps" would become "thongs". (Or restraints?)

I'm not a fan of people saying IQ instead of image quality. EVIL (electronic viewfinder, interchangeable lens) is also a little weird, do we have to be so creative?

Pimp "out", not up. ;)

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I hate "nice picture... but I would have...."

Actions speak louder than words, if you think you can take a better picture then get off your ass, away from the computer and go do it.

I think the tilted-horizon police are the worst. There are lots of ways to compose a photograph and, in my opinion, they don't all require a perfect 0º horizon. If you prefer a perfect horizon that's your business, but don't tell someone "nice picture... if only the horizon weren't skewed"

...end rant.

dontcha just hate it when people speak about "responding back" to someone? Also, "dude" in any of it's uses.

For the record, I do not hate leica. I do, however, despise that certain subset of leica owners that adopt the attitude "if it's not leica, it's not a camera". Thanks be to Ja that these folks are a tiny proportion of RFF posters.

I HATE
Bokeh sounds like a Scots for nausea (does the same for me, as its discussed "ad nauseum")
Capture
Awsome
Pimp unless you are into prostitution.

Dude, between you and me, I’m totally disinterested in this thread. I love awesome bokeh and IQ from a pimped up quasi-retro Leica M that was recently CLA’d and a sweet minty lense. What’s key is the synergy between buttery smooth lux or cron glass with it’s (intentional) great build quality and analog film, which gives nice tones across the bandwidth. Things do depend on your workflow.
Even newbies can get a nice capture with a prosumer fake DSLR or EVIL, but then again its (intentional) digital horses for digital courses. In the end, you get what you pay for.
Cheers from the U.S. mates?
Mike

MikeL: Like I said: groovy. :)

Downsizing, as in "you're sacked"
Smartsizing, as in "you're sacked"
Rationalisation, as in "you're sacked"
Modernisation, as in "you're sacked"

Consultation, as in "you're sacked, but a bit later"
Stewart, you positively rock. (If that term hasn't been used to death itself...) ;)

There is no such word Fred. I see it all the time though, and have come to the conclusion that folks that use it are doing so intentionally. After all, I spell the word for the transition from in focus to out of focus caused by depth of field, "bokey" and pronounce it like I spell it. It's an Americanized word, and so I Americanize it to the max.

ps, I'm glad that "to the max" is no longer "in vogue" and thus the "haters" "don't hate" it anymore.

pps, "I'm down with" idioms!

`Analog'

No this one does not bother me, UNLESS it is said with emhasis on first syllable and slight hesitation after second syllable.

Hehe. For one weekend, I'll make my kitty pic with some digital camera like interface on top, put that in the label holder, then put a red dot saying Leica in Katakana on my OM. I'll shoot around a hipster central and see what kind of comments I can get. :D

Mike,

+1 "Sharp."
Hey Sug-
I think you should write on a piece of paper
"LENS ERROR"
And put that in the label holder ;)
