i Love C-Sonnar 50/1.5

Danny, your images are beautiful and compelling and are pushing me to purchase a Sonnar!

However, I do have some questions regarding your technique, specifically:

1) Is your lens optimized for F2.8 or F1.5?
2) What apertures do you typically use?
3) Do you compensate for focus shift?

Thanks for the lovely images!

Very appreciate. Really.

1) f1.5
2) Ha...i often use f1.5 due to m9/m7 are my current cameras.
3) No. i won't compensate. For me, accuracy isn't my care point. The image can show the emotion is most important to me.

Scuse the stupid question, but does focus shift matter when you are shooting digital, I mean can't you see where it is focused in the viewfinder or screen?

if you are using TTL focusing, then no. of course the lens does not have auto aperture so you always shoot it at working aperture.

if you are shooting on an M9 or other digital RF without TTL focusing, then yes it does still matter.
