I'd like some AE, please - OM-2 or 4?

My OM-3 purportedly has the same battery drain as the OM-4.
So my solution is... take out the battery at the end of a roll, put the battery back when I'm ready to shoot again.

Not that hard, really. 🙂

Three Om-2ns in my case--speaks for itself, I guess.

Arguably, the OM-4 has a more sophisticated metering system, what the the highlight/shadow modes, and the 4 min. max AE time-OM-2n "only" goes to two. 🙂

But from what I can see, OM-4tis are pricey, and it seems hard to find one in good condition--least that's been my experience w/ ebay. So, for a decent bang-to-buck ratio, I'd suggest the OM-2n. And I do wear glasses, and haven't found that to be a problem...

Update: Just picked up an OM-4 and Winder 2 for $100 shipped.

The way I see it: I like metered manual cameras. Hence being a Leica enthusiast. I figure that when I want AE, the bells and whistles of the OM-4 won't hurt 😛

Thanks for all the advice.

Oh well...personally, I'd go with a 2N. I still have parts (separate meters, cds cells, circuit boards) whereas with the 2S, 4, 4T ALL features are built onto one flex that winds throughout he camera. Circuits for those models are not available. Even when they were available, the part alone could run $250. 4, 4T are pretty reliable, hope it goes well for you. John
