I'm assuming my M9 is toast...

Wow, only 6300 clicks that's kinda crazy... Mine had well over 1,000,000+ clicks before it failed... Plus for the record I purchased mine used from a authorized dealer in 2013... Had no warranty when it failed... So I would say Leica is a rare camera company these days no doubt...

When the sensor failed - corrosion, delam, whatever, I overnighted the camera to them. FedEx receipt says it got there and was signed for. Have not heard a word from Leica NJ. I was told before I sent it to NJ that it would take 6-8 weeks. Guess I will wait for the truck to arrive in a few months.

Just to give everyone an update... After sending my M9 to Leica in NJ in late Sept, and calling almost every other week I finally got an estimate for repair and will be done FREE of charge new sensor needed 6-8 weeks for it to be completed... I'm happy with the resolution even if its going to take awhile...

Marko -- good news indeed!

How the hell did you get one? I've been trying for over a year and I've gotten absolutely nothing from Leica NJ.

Well I originally send Leica in Germany customer.care@leica-camera.com an e-mail stating I was very disappointed with what happened with my camera.......... I was put in contact with Bill over at Leica in NJ who then reached out to me via e-mail asking for all my info so he could issue me a UPS label. I was surprised how quickly this all came together... Hope this helps.

I got my M9 back but I didn't think the problem was the sensor after all so I started a new thread. It turns out it was the sensor.

I got a hold of Leica NJ, got an appointment for May 08, 2017 and today got confirmation that my sensor has corrosion and dead pixels and will be repaired for free.
