You are dead.

El Tecolote y La Diessa del Muerte. As I remember, and someone please correct me, La Diessa del Muerte (The Goddess of Death) shows up to tell you that you are not here anymore, you got your ticket punched, you are dead. Then El Tecolote (The Owl) shows up to carry your spirit away to the underworld. The Spanish name for "owl" is "El Búho." In Mexico he is called by the Nahuatl name, El Tecolote. These masks were made in Tocuaro, in Michoacan near Patzcuaro, which is famed for its masks.
