In and around the house

House detail, Saigon. The upstairs middle room -where temperatures hover around 40C. In March and April -the hottest pre-monsoon season in Saigon, I often change clothes twice a day. Leica SL2S - TTArtisan 1.4/35.

Yes there is a bit of a difference in the color rendering on these two photos. But it is the same cat. She is a Tokinese cat. "Tonks" are a cross between a Siamese and a Burmese but most often they look like an "old fashioned" Siamese (with a round and less pointed face than more modern Siamese breeds). They are gorgeous little animals - friendly, playful, intelligent and devoted - too much so, sometimes as they can pine if the person they are most bonded to is not around and paying them attention when they want it. Which means they can be quite demanding. They tend to have the vocal nature of the Siamese - they are great talkers! But other than this they tend to have the placid nature of the Burmese. All in all the perfect pet to my way of thinking. (You can tell I am nuts about them) .

@Out to Lunch this reminds me of my stays in Phnom Penh recently. My fiance' would go up to the roof floor and wash my clothes in a tub by hand (and with a small machine), and then hang them to try on clothes-lines and racks. And, I experienced the humidity also. I hope to go back and visit next March/April time-frame.
