It's 2014, are you still using film?

Me, I shoot photographs...😀
Not too concerned with which medium.
If I were to take the time to analyze it, probably 80-90 % film and the rest digital.

I started photographing as a hobby with digital 2010. I don't now count occasionally frames and family album photos from early 80's that were developed in shop.
The more I learned about photography the more I got interested of film
I started film shooting and develpoing film about two years ago.I shoot both mediums film and digital.

Film only, I've never owned a digital amera. My only concern had been color, which I use about 25 percent of the time. But since I learned to develop color film 3 years ago and RA4 color darkroom prints last year, I have no need to consider digital, including scanning. It's fun and cost-effective and, most importantly, the results are great.

none at all.

I was scanning and making prints digitally to begin with. I like film cameras fine, but this hobby for me has always been about LENSES and blocked shadows. Both of which I can facilitate with digital.

Lenses are independent of medium good ones are on both systems I share mine between D&F bodies. Shadow detail is put there by the user mainly through exposure with 0.3 density boosts available with speed enhancing developers. With digital you have a to practice similar exposure care at the other end of the scale.

but am always Dissatisfied with my digital output...on lcd screen I think yeah
going my way, once downloaded and viewed BIG on screen I'm disappointed
then my Heart and Eye want Film

a constant raging ugly battle within....😱
hence I'm back to Film

Somehow I knew that affair wasn't going to last 😉

- I just mix some pure alcohol into grape juice - absolutely no-one can tell the difference.

- Are we still having these same discussions? Come on guys, alcopop or wine, who cares?

- None of the kids I know have even tried wine. When this generation of wine-drinkers die off then it's all over for the wine-producers. Fact.

- I still prefer wine, but alcohol-soda is the future, so last year I switched. No going back.

- It's been getting harder and harder for me to find decent vintages in my local stores these days, and prices are just going higher and higher. I'm also tired of all the time spent in the dark cellar choosing the right bottle, so in 2014 I'll be going over 100% to alcopops. I don't think the quality is the same, but I can drink much more for the same price, and just opening a can is way more convenient than messing around uncorking bottles.

Just brilliant.

I'm shooting film since Harry Truman, not stopping now. It goes in prepaid mailers to Ilford. All mailbox.

All "We Press Pants While You Wait" assignments are fulfilled by iPad. Digital is wonderful that way.

With all the digital hoopla, it is certainly refreshing to see that RFF is primarily a film forum. So far over 61% use film at 75% of the time. Not saying RFF shouldn't be a forum for digital folks, just that it is still mostly a film crew. Either way it is all good.

More and more actually - found a good lab, which made all the difference for colour. B&W I develop myself and also do enlargements. Medium Format in particular just amazes me every time.

Without a Digital Leica (and FAL to try one again) My M gear is slowing headed to the classified.

Less than 5% film these days - digital is just too accessible and my darkroom skills have faded too much with lack of practice.

Plus 1. Pretty much the same. These days when I shoot film it is 120 more then 35mm, anything (film formats) else is extremely rare.

Since there was no 90% or less option, I did not vote.

I went with the 50-50 because I really don't keep track of such things. I'll shoot my repair photos at the workbench in digital, then load and shoot a roll in the camera I just repaired. But when just taking photos, I tend to shoot more digital in the second half of the month, as the budget starts to get tight.
