Wtl, thanks for help to know the meaning.
Bill, I did not understand your phrase.
Emulate was not the best word. But in over 100 years of photography...what is new?
And in Literature, Paint, Sculpture ... that they are older arts.
In these days Madrid receives an exhibition of Picasso in the Prado Museum and Reina Sofia Museum. Picasso tried to imitate to the classics. Honestly I dont like much the paints of Picasso, but he tried to evolve in his art. There is great controversy because they have placed pictures of Picasso next to the great works of Velazquez, El Greco, Goya, Tiziano in the Prado Museum...
Almost always that I do photos invade me the desolation. I feel incapable to make something
good, new, better, pure… and I said me: Why? Why do you make photos? if you are incapable to innovate, if you are incapable to make photos better, if you are incapable of… I never have answer. I only know that invades me a great feeling when I make photos... I finish very tired, full of nerves, slope of everything, I want to catch everything… but I cannot. I am lukewarmly happy when I am walk with the camera outside, I know that all it is invented ... but... ( In the XIX century, somebody related to the patents of inventions, said that they were not going away to invent no invention more, it was impossible, was everything invented...
🙂 ) Although invades me the disappointment almost always, I think that still it is left some photo to do that one has not become, our still can... can.
Pardon by the sadness.
