... Grip Case for the X100 is fantastic.
Was initially thinking of getting a leather half case for some protection and better grip, but I was unwilling to spend the amount required. Along came the grip case, which satisfied both for only $35.

Anyways, I find it adds just the right amount of bulk to increase the handling comfort - for my hands obviously so ymmv. Build is very good as well.
