AF.. is that even possible with an M-mount?
A think the chances of it being an M-mount are VERY slim. If it takes M lenses it'll probably be via an adapter.

Non Disclosure Agreement.
There's usually money involved for keeping quiet.
This feels like a coordinated viral marketing effort by Canon (including Canon insiders posting here) for a new digital camera platform. If so, that's pretty cool. Or it's April Fools, which'd be less cool.
May I ask what is "Hexar Technology"? I've read Hexars are good cameras, but do they employ whole different technology, other than others use to make cameras?
Hexar technology would be the whole constellation of DX-reading mechanics, light metering cell, coupled aperture priority software and hardware, motor drive (well, shutter arming mechanism anyway).
But, as Sony might only have bought Konica-Minolta's SLR division, the Hexar designs and technicalities might be shelved somewhere, never to be seen again... unless of course Cosina bought it and built their Digital RF with a 35/1.2 standard lens!
😀
Exactly the point, I'm sure!
Another no-brainer within 24 hours! Duh!!
Which other camera maker would ask a renowned wedding photographer to test a new rangefinder other than Fuji?? The Fuji sensor is every wedding photographer's dream come true!!
The only question that remains is what this Fuji rangefinder is all about. Is it ...
a) M43
b) APS with m-mount
c) Bessa IV Digital Folder
??
Perzackly!
A Digtal Hexar RF is what I sure would buy.
I hate the fact the SONY wound up with it all....!!! SONY DSLR's have lousy Auto White Balance.
So let's hope SONY sells the digital Hexar RF R&D to Cosina!! I always heard Konica had a working prototype FF Digi Hexar when the stinkin' bottom fell out.
Konica = GOOD
Sony = BAD
Cosina = GOOD
Fingers crossed!!
what is "new" ?
a completely new rangefinder --
or a new update of an existing rangefinder?
