I picked this up at the local "Barnes And Balton" the other day, but I didn't look at it until this morning while I was waiting for some others to join me at IHOP for breakfast. It's a fascinating issue, and two sections seem to be of particular interest.
Entropy and Forgotten Places -- Things that are changing, things that are disused and neglected, abandoned, for whatever reason. For some reason I seem to be attracted to these subjects when I'm out shooting, for whatever reason.
(If anybody cares: http://omababe.blogspot.com/2007/05/disused-abandoned-neglected-etc-part-1.html)
As an aside, two photos are from the Chernobyl area, submitted by a photographer whose first name is Elena. For those who remember, or for those into net.legends and urban folklore, there was an account a few years ago of a "trip" to Chernobyl by a young lady named Elena, which was subsequently exposed for being somewhere between highly embellished and total fiction. I was curious, so I checked the web, and it appears that the JPG Elena is not the motorcycle Elena. The photos in the magazine are similar to, but do not appear on the Elena web site and the surnames are different. I'm sure Elena is a very common name there. The reason I noticed that is that I have a very good friend by that name, and the name is somewhat uncommon around here. Oh well ...
Beauty Redefined is the topic spread amongst several items toward the rear. It does include tips on photographing female models. (I can see all the guys rushing out to buy it now!)
Very few of the photos are either typical glamour work or cheesecake. There's a lot of gender bending and a lot of bodymod. (For some reason I thought of Marc J.)

Anyway, I would highly recommend this issue!

I can't seem to find this anywhere locally. Anyone know where this might be available in Canada? Unfortunately I missed the Street Photography issue that seemed to have a bit of buzz around it
