I just wanted to start a thread and discuss possible dates for the next meet-up.

16th or 17th? 23rd or 24th?

I'm open, but realize that Damaso is coming back to New York. I was waiting for Damaso to suggest the date that was easy and good for him. He mentioned not being able to make the July shoot-out this Sunday by a day or so.

I'll be bringing my Mamiya 6 with 50/4.0. Trying to raise cash for another M-body with high magnification VF'er.

P.S. Just trying to get my money back. Anyone interested in getting a very clean Mamiya 6 that was a shelf queen before I got it has an opportunity to get a nice camera at the "old" price. The body was rated excellent at KEH and the lens was graded LN. I will even throw in a med yellow B&W multicoated filter and a B&W orange multicoated filter into the deal. Of course it comes with the hood, caps and mask.

you'll surely regret it, though maybe not with your Plaubel and all that Fuji gear...jeez when did you pick up that 6x7 body? haha

anyways, i can confirm that Cal's Mam6 is very very clean. and that 50mm is super sharp with minimal distortion. in fact, i would recommend picking up the 75mm and 150mm to complete the kit. i've recently been using my 150 more often, and though people complain about a difficulty in hitting focus, when you get it, the results are beautiful. The Mamiya 6 really is the ultimate setup if you like 6x6.

As you know I do not want any shelf queens, but that Plaubel with its 6x9 negative gets used a lot more. Also kinda developed Fuji disease in the process. The GM670 with the 150/5.6 Sonnar is a portrait machine, so who needs a Hassey? The GL690 and GM670 have amazingly big magnification and big rangefinders BTW.

My girlfriend calls my collection of cameras a camera farm when I spread them all out, but it seems that only recently I've run out of acreage. LOL. I have too many big cameras, and all I can fit now is a little M-body. LOL.

BTW I went to an opening in Chelsea last night to see Harvey Stein's show celibrating 40 years of shooting Coney Island. What was really cool about this show is that a massive book was also assembled covering this big body of work, all B&W and shot with a Leica.

Dan informed me about this event and I had a great time. Ran into Helen and Eric also. As always lots of laughing, and lots of Leicas.

We always have visitors from all over the world. We are kind of an internation crowd. Also Darrel sometimes comes to our meet-ups and he comes from Philly.
