Won't make this because my parents are in town. In other news , I've been using my bike a lot .. Nothing like Cal's setup . Fixie. I bought it on Craigslist for $100. Do you guys carry a repair kit? how compact is it ? I kept having flats ( i mean just about every time i took the bike out) and I was ready to give up until someone suggested a liner . Today 40kms, no flat.

On my road bike I use this tubular clincher called the "UFO" made by TuFo. It is a performance tire that is a cross of a sew up and a clincher tire, but the trick thing about this tire is that I use a sealant that self repairs any leak that was developed for mountian biking to seal pinch flats, punctures from thorns and the like.
Over the decades never ever had a flat. The UFO is kinda armoured, and with the "Slime" it is really hard to get a flat. These tires I pump up to 120 pounds of inflation, and road bike tires seem to all have lighter build and thinner tread. There are other brands of sealants.
The "Kojak" tires I use on the Ti IBIS are designed to be flat and puncture resistant. These tires are basically slicks, have very little rolling resistance and are light weight. I would say they kinda have a liner kinda built in. The problem I have with seperete liners is that they add weight, and they can effect the ride in a harsh way. Using tires that have armour built in is simply more elegant. I have gouges and scars in my tires from glass, but never got a flat. With the Kojaks I use no "Slime."
Hope you wear a helmet. Brain injuries are really bad. I do not carry any repair kit on or off the road.

Sorry to miss the meet again, it wound up that I was the only sales person on my floor

After discussing with Joe about how smaller prints that are hand holdible offer a sense of intimacy and that large prints made for exhibition, and display sometimes lack this intamacy, I decided to print some of the images I brought to the meet-up of ESP 20x30 on 24x36 rag paper.
Last night just laid out the 7 shades of black, and boy the impact is more different that my other large prints. Kinda makes for a turn more for the surreal and ultra dreamy in a great way. Anyways there seems to be a broader range in how the print sizes speak to the viewer. Seems like the larger print effectively recreates the envionment of the shot taking in the viewer into the physical space.
I was only able to make three prints before the 24 inch wide roll was finished. Anxious to see the transition with the first gloss overcoat tonight.
My idea to be like the housing bubble: print large and some rich guy will buy it seems to be working. I'm feeling kinda confident that I might be part of the "No Longer Empty" show in the Manhattan Mini Storage promotion where they are calling on artists who use storage units to store their work. Instead of visiting an artist's studio the curators are going to visit their public storage units.
Also a friend is going to try and curate a show of just photographers at a friends studio/loft. Could be really great because the location is very near the new ICP in the Bowelry.
