I moved on to a J3 after too short a time. That J8 was stellar. My only complaint about it was the lack of aperture stops. Throw that in and it would have been all I needed in a medium speed 50.

Im actually currently using the Jupiter 12 on my M9 while waiting for my other 35mm lens to get fixed.... really enjoy that lens too!

My friend Tatiana from Russia came over to stay for a few days. As a present she gave me a perfect working Kiev 4 from 1959.
Even the lightmeter works like a dream. The Jupiter 8 that came with it is clear as a bell and is very sharp.
There are no light leaks. There is a perfect spacing of the frames on the film. I only have to clean the inside of the windows of the view- and rangefinder: the images are a bit fuzzy. The rangefinder itself however is perfectly aligned.
What an impressive picture making machine it is.
Kiev 4, Jupiter 8 50mm f/2, Tmax400.

Jupiter-8m, focus is closer than where I set it on every picture.. looks like I'll need to adjust camera.
