Just Announced: Digital Module for M Rangefinders!

I have 2 already, one from Sony and the other from Fuji. Makes my M3 rock. I like the Fuji better. Image IQ is just spectacular.

Got me too but...

Someone will build a digital back for an M one day soon. I'm guessing within 5-10 years.

As technology gets cheaper it will become economically viable.
Right now it's still too expensive. It would have to be user installed like the R8-9 Digital module R.

But if you could build and sell a full frame or near full frame digital back for an M for $3,000 or a bit more you'd sell a lot of them.
What's "a lot"??? Maybe 5,000 units wouldn't be too ambitious.

Would their be 5,000 M owners world wide who would spend this sort of money for a digital option? I know I would.

Just ordered the Hexar upgrade kit. It will be a wonderful day, when I will receive that parcel...

I've got mixed feelings as to how hard it is. I suppose with the M8/M9, to squeeze a quality level out that is appropriate for the Leica logo, it was extremely hard and maybe due to the short back focal distance of all the Leica RF lenses.

The Epson and 4/3rds cameras were produced with sufficient imaging qualities - maybe Leica wouldn't think it was good enough for them.

I'd love to have a digital back for my M's, that was affordable. And had the same specs as the M9, or better.

A prankster put up instructions on the Evanston.Ill. web site about having to buy snow removal stickers so you can get your street plowed. You can buy an extra cost one so they do not plow up the driveway with the snow they remove from the street.

City hall was flooded with calls of protest.
