I've got both and can take a shot later today, but here they are on my Leicas:

Zeiss C Biogon 35/2.8 on Leica M9-P, January 26, 2013 by Maggie Osterberg, on Flickr

Leica M8 with 35/1.4 Voigtländer Nokton Classic, September, 2008 by Maggie Osterberg, on Flickr
The Nokton is chubbier, but shorter. Both handle fantastically. The Biogon appears to be magic, whereas the Nokton is merely very, very, very good.

Just want to share my first rangefinder experience here with a recently acquired Zeiss ikon and 35mm Biogon C, what a beauty combo by itself!!! This is also my first time shooting film, and the results turned to be better than expected!
Note: It's not leak on the left edge, it's just the last bit of the sun light before it set. But if that was indeed light leak, i would have loved it just as much
I am officially in love with analog photography! Here is a shot of Susuki grass of which I adore, from my 1st roll of color negatives : fujisuperia 200

Yesterday, a group of Paul McKay’s friends gathered at the Magnolia Bridge in New Orleans, Louisiana and gave their, OUR, friend a send off.

Buskers Festival in August this year finally made St. John's streets busy. I am developing a ridiculous backlog of film

As always, Flickr managed to sharpen this scan a little too much for my taste. But here's a decent image I made with my M4 and the C-Biogon!

Don't see any threads or photos from this lens here. I just ordered one to take to Europe on the M9. Reviews are great. How about some comments from actual users and some images. Thanks.

It's a great lens, the reviews you have seen are likely correct. I guess the slowish speed makes it not so very popular. Many people may find it difficult to have a 35/2.8 as their only 35.
Living in the north, I know I often face the speed dilemma with this lens. I try to use it instead of the CV 35/1.4 when I know there is enough light to not care about the 2 stop difference. It is after all the better lens where they overlap. Considering the 35/1.4 is my favorite lens across all systems, it is high praise from me to want to use another lens in its place. And while I prefer the handling of the 35/1.4, the C Biogon is one of the better handling lenses out there for me.
I'll just add that I use it mostly on M8 and film.

I am off to Europe for 90 days and 200 miles of hiking. I normally don't like owning two lenses of the same focal length but I bought it to take the place of the 35f1.2 Nokton (great lens but too heavy to carry 200 miles). And I don't plan on selling the Nokton.
Have not owned a zeiss lens before so looking forward to the pop.
