Just got the C-Biogon 35mm f2.8

While I have the 35/2 Biogon of the ZM line, I sometimes regret that it is not that portable as the C-Biogon is. And while using a different 35/2.8 lens before I got the Biogon (Jupiter-12 that was) I never really missed the f2. But anyway, now I have it and I'm happy with it. Would only part for a Summicron Asph, I guess.

It's a standing joke that all the lengths of wood sold by B&Q (the biggest DIY chain in the UK) are bent. I don't know about their plasterboard though.

Anyone know why they use that type of divider? Also, let's get some more c-biogon photos going in here... I'll contribute soon.

M2, C Biogon 35f2.8. Kodak XX @ 320. Pyrocat HD, semistand development 15 min.
Highly polished Norton 750 Combat Commando. Mine never looked that good - but probably sounded just as "bad".

I really love the 35m Biogon 2.8. My copy, for some reason, seems to leak some kind of lubricant onto the rear exterior element, bad enough to affect the photographs. I clean the lens and then it's fine, but I wonder if I should return the lens to Zeiss, assuming it's still under warranty. Has anyone else seen this problem?

From the All British Field Meet this year. C Biogon 35f2.8 @ 2.8 (it was abysmal weather - rain and lots of it - stressed the Lucas ignitions to no end!!)
Riley Special - made a spectacular entrance - flames shooting out from exhaust and carbs.

Had one of these lenses in my hand yesterday at a store demo. Not a fan of the focal length, but having spotted this thread last week, curiosity made me ask to see it and try it on my camera. Very small, fairly light. Good fit size- and balance-wise on a Leica CL. For anyone wondering which CL framelines it brings up, I got both the 40mm and the 50mm frames with it.

Based on the pictures posted here, and its size, I think if I was going to buy a 35mm lens, this'd be it.

^---Haha, yes!

Focal length is such a crazy, personal thing. I just sold my 50 'cron after trying to like it for over a decade and trying to like other 50's longer than that. 35 is my home lens; no getting around it.
