Konica Scanners

A question for the group.... With Konica Minolta getting out of the camera business does this mean that they won't be in the scanner business as well? I know by the Press Release that they will concentrate on copiers and wondered what classification the scanners would be placed.

Any information would be appreciated, as I'm getting ready to purchase a dedicated film scanner and want some assurance of support. 🙁

I read on PN that scanners were part of the camera division and so there won't be any more KM scanners. The service should remain however - they are quite good, at least in my experience. I would actually get another KM scanner if I was in the market, although mine broke it is still a good scanner if you look at the results. What are you going to do, buy Nikon? How long will they be in the scanner business? Maybe its time to save for an Imacon 646... 😉
