Love Neon signs. They always look great when shot with my Holga loaded with Reala or Velvia

The first link, very cool!
The second link not so much, you have to pay to take pictures there even for personal collection ???

I don't think you do need to get permission to take personal photos. I think that request form is for photo shoots and filming. I've never been, but there are thousands of photos online and probably very few required permission

I used to live there. Gee, I ought to scan my old Ektachromes of the neon I took back in the 1960's and post 'em (here, I guess). I've got a lot of those while they still on the casinos and hotels, not in a boneyard.

If memory serves me correctly, you only have to pay to shoot there if you use a tripod.
I have wanted to go there for awhile, but I just didn't have time during my last two visits to Vegas. Tell me, where there a lot of visitors there? Was it difficult to get shots without any people in them?

Haha, I took a few shots of the same neon milk-man sign when I was at the old Vegas strip a couple years ago. Cool stuff.

Looking at the second link for tours info it says "No backpacks, camera bags, large bags or tripods are allowed on tours." It seems from the site that they are strict about photography. I'd love to go, if only allowed one camera I think I'd shoot the SWC with HP5 for a different look.

I was there about three years ago. They were quite careful about safety as there's a lot of broken glass about the boneyard and they didn't want people accidentally harming themselves so we had to stick in the group - tripods etc would have been in the way. I got plenty of good shots with MP, CHS25 and VC 15mm

Austerby, thanks I like this, it confirms my thinking if I should get to Las Vegas again about shooting B&W

I saw this place in an episode of "Storage Wars" a few months ago. Thought it was pretty neat. Cool place to visit.
