I don't have Popeye arms and don't need them to handle my 75mm Summilux. Actually my arms are a little on the thin side. The weight of the lens makes it sit more solidly in my hands and reduces camera jiggle. I do try to shoot 1/125 or higher with it. I love this lens. It's definitely a keeper for me. I would not walk around with the camera hanging from my neck very long, though, with the 75/1.4 fitted. For a general walkaround lens for daytime, I'm experimenting with the CV 75/2.5; but have not had it long enough to reach any conclusions.
At the LHSA annual meeting I borrowed the 75 Cron from Leica for a day. I really liked the way it handles; the weight and size are very fine for daylight work, and the lens has a better feel to it than the CV. But I haven't seen the pictures yet. I will pick up the slides later today. I have not processed the B&W yet.
I've had and occasionally used 90mm lenses for years, but I am finding the 75mm length to be more useful in more situations. That's just me. Anybody wanna trade their 75mm Cron for my 90mm AA ASPH?
