Hi Jorge and Honus.

The M8 came with a charger which had additional interchangeable plugs for both the UK and Europe, a car charger cable, all the documentation ie manual, warranty etc, two software Cd’s (one of them being Camera RAW le). "

There has never been a Camera RAW LE program in production or in beta. The software bundled with the M8 will be Capture One LE by Phase One.

Sean,

I stand corrected and I apologize. You are absolutely right and I couldn’t be more wrong…they do open in ‘Lightroom.app’. I did try them when I was at home and for some reason it didn’t work for me. But now I just shot two images of my desktop and imported them, much to my surprise and delight…they appeared in the preview pane.

So seeing as you are well up on testing and all that, how are you liking your M8? (I’m assuming you have one).

I like the M8 very well. It's probably my favorite digital camera ever.

Sean,

Credit where credit's due...you were right about the M8's DNG's and LR. But oh how VERY WRONG you are about CS3 and it being code named 'Red Pill'. I have it here on my laptop and have had it for the last three weeks since 'Vishal Khandpour' & 'John Nack' from 'Adobe' sent me the link for my download! CS3 (codenamed RED PILL) DOES EXIST!! You can print that mate!

PS, I find it strange that someone as well versed as you say you are doesn't know something as elementary as that. It isn't even a secret

One thing I must mention is that I tried, what was my favorite lens on my M7, the 50mm 1.4 Asph. for some reason I didn't think I was going to have much use for the 65mm FOVCF. Wow!! how wrong I was. What a beautiful perspective it has become and how incredibly sharp it is. It's as though the 50mm is the consummate lens on the M8 as it was on the M's before it.

I think this is very cool. I have been playing with an 85 focal length and really like the results. I am definitely happy between 50 and 90. :D

Sean Dude......

Sean Dude......

Whatever on the software symantics...... like I give a rats. I'm on a plane trying to answer a question from memory about what came with the camera for Christ's sake. I can't even remembr what I ate for breakfast at 5:am this morning. Relax!

CS3 has been publicly announced as code-named 'Red Pill'.

Hey Charlie- thanks again for staying involved with the forum. Looking forward to seeing your pics in the Leica magazine! What a great opportunity!

The irony of your last post is that someone as intelligent as you cannot figure out that even if my camera was a loaner and I had to buy one, it wouldn't make that much difference to me anyway! As for the name dropping, I only do it because I know it impresses you sweetheart ;)

Rod,

You're right of course, I just Googled it. Sorry for my factual mistake. Nothing I've seen from Adobe has been called that but clearly it's a name that's been out in the public domain.

To be sure, you would know.

Cheers,

Sean

This is definetly an interesting thread. As a Cuban would say, Del cojon par alante.

Jorge.....

Jorge.....

the link won't show on my Mac for some reason. I click, then it takes me to some place that doesn't have text in it!

Don't worry about the "factual error" Sean. Happens to the best of us ;)

Hi Jorge,

What's the translation?
