I am a Leicafan, but I must admit the Holga would likely be a great deal more "fun." ...and fun is why this is supposed to be my hobby.
Hmmmm.... Only if you are prepared to use it. I had a Diana in the days before Holgas, and it was a piece of junk. I do not see how Holgas are better. Yes, I know there are people who like surprises in the form of light leaks, poor focus, rotten exposures, etc., but I've never seen the appeal myself. I genuinely wouldn't bother to waste film by putting it into a Diana or Holga. If I couldn't afford anything better, and had to work around the limitations of a cheap camera, I'd infinitely rather have a Lyubitel. The best camera is the one you have with you.
Define "best"...
i have never tried either...but i'd prefer the one i cannot afford.
Why not hate it? I hate the M9 because I'll never be able to afford it although I could certainly use it.

This doesn't mean that I'm right and Holga fans are wrong, but equally, it sure as hell doesn't mean that Holga fans are right and I'm wrong.
Cheers,

Is the final image all about sharpness, clarity, and how well an expensive lens tests?
How much sharpness do you see in Capa's iconic D-Day images?
no lens test winners there!
Of all the camera comparison tests I've seen on the internet,
the one that I would love to see that I've never seen is
Leica M9 Vs Holga! which is best ??
Is it BEST to spend $15,000 on a M9 body and lens,
or is is BEST to spend $40 on a Holga
and still have money to buy food and pay the rent with?
What IS best ?
