I was just fooling around a tried a pic of this Turner's Cube from Ukraine with the close focus option. Shot at F/16 for max depth of field. I suppose I could have shot it, too, with the crop tele function but at sacrifice of detail. Like detail means a lot in this pic, but anyway. ISO 10,000 but still not too noisy. The cube is 1.5 inches in height.

I have a few photos on Flickr, not really special and maybe not helpful at this late time. However, I would say the Q3 43 is fun and good enough for me. The noise is more vs my M10 Monochrome as expected. Corners look good at common F stop use w Q3 43.

I just learned on the internet that Leica has a new firmware update for the Q3 43, 4.0.0. It promises an easier menu, better autofocus, and better tones. This is already a pretty good camera, a bonne a tout faire. It is not perfect. However, it does really well in a lot of categories so it is good to have along. It does close up shooting built in and can crop automatically to ape telephoto with still good images. It is a really good camera.

Well I ended up buying a Q3 43 although not uploaded the new firmware as yet.
I must say that its very good.
So much so that I`m tempted by the mono version with the 28 lens.

It is a bonne a toute faire camera. It is like a Swiss Army knife. I have other cameras that can best it in single categories but for the "all in one" camera this little puppy is really good. I have not been super happy with the color in it so I am hoping that the new firmware will improve that. But for an easy carry "git 'er done" this camera works well. It is amiable.

They seem to be having problems with the latest firmware release. I haven`t followed it closely because I never up date my cameras. They already do more than I would possibly need out of the box.
Cracking little camera though .
