Leica Summicron-C 40mm/f2 Problem

Hi guys

I just inherited a CL with the 40mm cron attached to it. I don't think it's been touched in decades. Upon removing the lens I find this... is it even usable? Should I just get another 40mm?

It looks like it needs a cleaning. Or are those spots just reflections?

I don't see it either. If you perhaps mean the cutout in the lens flange, that's how it's supposed to be.
