not upside down, but reversed back to front. actually, if the image appears upside down, turn the eyepiece. it turns to allow you to view vertical images. (dunno what optical wizardy is going on in there...)
the thing with the VIDOM is that it always seems to have clearer glass than the post-war VIOOH (also know as the IMARECT), and it's smaller as well.
it's actually not a bad finder, if you are used to (or can get used to) a l-r reversed image. if you've got a tlr it's already second nature....
