At least it has strap lugs and controls in the expected places. It also has an accessory shoe, so adding a view finder would be easy enough.

maybe it's a fixed lens digi compact with a lens that has been designed to perfectly match an aps-c sensor?

they could introduce a 28, 35 and 50 as 3 separate cameras and have them made to order, kinda like the a la carte program but now u can only choose 1 focal length.

The X1 looks like it has a removable bottom plate. If it's genuine Leica has gone daft, or if it's a photoshop job the guy who did it had a good sense of humour.

Better yet, it has a winder! It is the new Leica APS film camera - the thing future generations will remember as the comeback and breakthrough of that already doomed format...

Well, I reckon they've gone back to LTM - hence no need for a lock on the lens - and I also reckon (if it's real) it's a new D-Lux 5.

It's a plausible design - one that I like. The m9 version looks quite plausible as well - Wouldn't you feel silly if they actually did release this camera on the 9th?
