Ok the X2 is out and many of us either have them or they are in transit. Let's show off this fun camera! X2 only please and it's up to you if you want talk about details. I do think we should have our own catagory like the Nex or Micro 4/3's, what do you think?

Arizona Biltmore with Camelback Mountain in the background.

X2, ISO 100, F8.0, 1/250. Raw file with Auto tone and white balance in LR3.6. Also straightened slightly.

I'm interested to see some of the posts Jim, very nice. I must say the IQ from the X1 was excellent, I'm sure the X2 will continue and improve on it's predecessor.

Manual scale focused set 4 - 9 feet and locked. F8, ISO 800, 1/30 using internal flash. I find with a fast moving kid (what 2 year old likes to vacumn?) this is a good setup. Sometimes I attach a SF24 just to get more reach. PP in LR 3.6 Auto tone, small cropping, noise reduction added.

Congratulations, Jim!:cool:

Looks like a bright day in the Sw part of the country and perfect for trying out a new camera!

Looks like you got it dialed in!:angel:

And, yes, we would most definitely prefer a separate forum for the Leica X cameras.

Would also love to see a thread started with individual reviews, experiences, tips and suggestions (where bashers are not welcomed :mad:) for learning more about these cameras.

Thanks for starting this thread. Looking forward to more images soon!

I also prefer a separate thread for Leica X difficult though to prevent troll gate crushers. Nice shots J crutcher, love that 1st pic.

Sure I'll do that, might add a Barnack for comparison. It will be later today before I can get to it.

Thanks guys.

3200 ISO, F2.8. 1/30 LR3.6 adjustments --auto white balance, +17 black point, no noise or other exposure. Standard LR +25 sharpening. All from the raw file. B&W converted in Silver EFEX Pro 2 full spectrum inverse setting.

X2 + X2 = 2X2

2X2 = 4k

1M9=7k

7k-4k=3k

3k=money in the bank!

Therefore, why not get both?:p

Haha Dave, you lost me with some of those equations. I sold the M9 and two lenses, but bought the X2 and an Olympus E-M5 with 20mm Panasonic. Therefore, the money that went in the bank, stays in the bank. I truly don't need a second Leica X. I'd love to have one, but I don't want to pay for it. :)

Interesting, I'm thinking to put the Olympus OM-5 (with the M lens adapter) beside my x1 (instead of upgrading to x2) and use with it my 35 or 50 cron for when I need a medium tele. Not sure if it was Keith but I read here anywhere that manual focusing with the EM-5 is not bad at all. The only doubt is that they are two so different cameras...

There's no doubt that the olympus is a more complicated camera. The reason I want one is for street (people) since it has super fast AF. Also, you can use it like a TLR and focus / trigger the shutter simply by hitting the LCD. I think this camera will be very handy to have around.
