At that price - yes , we are.
True, $2000 is ridiculous... but it's still a 2mm platform. To me it makes it look more barnack than the X1.

They needed somewhere to put the EVF data connector and didn't have room to put it lower in the body. Doesn't bother me, but it's one reason I prefer the looks of the black finish over the chrome finish.
With a little antiquing effort, I bet we could get one to look just like that old Barnack up-thread. ;-)

I like it better than the one on the X1 for the simple reason I carry the X1 with a wrist strap/finger cuff and it gives me a better grip so I don't hit the dials.😉
Besides, even my beautiful IIIF has "warts", all of which contribute to function and the overall design, and it is easy to argue that the overall design of the X2 is better than any Barnack from a pure design standpoint but we don't ever disagree on aesthetics on RFF, do we?😛

I always thought the Barnack needed a digital mate and the X bodies do that, but now you have to get a mate for each of those Barnacks!😛 Still, it's cheaper than a lot of vices.

Not sure which case you mean, but the A&A case is perfect for everyday use and I am sure you can get it from Pop Flash. I saw somewhere that Leica has a half-case too...maybe Red Dot Camera.
B&H has the really nice brown case shown above in a previous post. When is your X2 scheduled for delivery?:angel:

I'll look b h for the case, pretty nice looking even though I don't use them often. A week to 10 days for delivery, he's expecting Shipment this next week. Not in the photos I have a 1945 wartime iiic k and a Barnack "O" model.

I may be mis-remembering (happens a lot these days), but someone on another forum ordered one and it seems that it was to be shipped at the end of May. I will try to confirm.
