Let's do it!

genuinely didn't know who keith was. haven't frequented here long enough.

i see you're in oz too, well, then you're a-ok then! :)

i know what it's like not to have a consistent income also. i hope your situation improves soon mate

Done. For the price of a fancy drink, please someone with a fancy camera. That is priceless.
If my big ticket item sells on ebay I'll get you all an X100.

Some days ago someone talked about the idea of ordering an X100 as a RFF members' gift to Keith. I think that would be really cool! The camera would see good use in his gallery shooting for sure.

Why don't we do it? $10 per member and it will be a really, really nice story...

Who's in?

C'mon, I know we're more than only 120 kind people around here!
Cheers,

Juan

Although I may just be a lurker/'newbie' here on RFF, when Juan mentioned the name 'Keith'... I immediately knew who he was referring to! :)

I would be lying... if I said that I didn't enjoy reading Keith's many informative and witty postings over the last few months.
--
Great idea Juan! My hat (and perhaps Keith's also)... is off to you for starting this thread. Very, very 'classy' indeed!
--
Keith... I know that many of us here at RFF have been in a similar situation to you... at one time or another. "Keep your chin up!"... your situation will turn around sooner than you think. :)

I am *** Definitely *** in.

Done! Nice thought starting this Juan, good things should happen to good people.

It's a good day. Enjoy Keith :)

I just had one of those 'oh my god' moments when I got a paypal email notification that I'd received ten Euros from Richard Jenkinson!

It turns out our Pitxu's son is also a Richard and heard about this thread and decided to contribute ... whew! (insert emoticon for heavy persperation and slightly increased heart rate)

Mate ... if you're reading this you gave me one hell of a scare. I was extremely fond of your dad and miss him to this day ... what you have just done was very special and quite unique ... I thank you with all my heart. :)

This applies to rest of you too of course. :)

I'm in. Having only recently found work after a long period of unemployment, I too know what you are going through.

Hopefully things are looking up fo me now as I have a good (although temporary) job and a exhibition coming up in May!

All the best to you Keith - from one kiwi to another!

Simon

but financially I have no hope at the moment and have actually sold gear over the last few months to keep a roof over my head and food on the table.
Keith, I know how tough times can be, though I'm fortunate that I was able to keep the wolf from the door (at the cost of spending last year in Melbourne  as an economic refugee).

I'd spend $10 buying you a beer or three, anytime. This is probably a more productive cause, so it's on its way.

...Mike

Great stuff. Done.

This must be the beginning of WorldWide Camera Therapy -- not yet recognized by DSM 4 and the helping professions --

or the start of Photographic Micro Stimulus Program -- flying under the radar of the world's central bankers -- and building on the great success of microlending.

Cheers, mate.

What a marvellous idea - I haven't been here long enough to appreciate Keith, or anyone else for that particular matter. But this idea is really great - money sent across the interwebs!

Well, I guess we're close to getting the hybrid viewfinder, for now...

Let's go for the rest of the body and for the lens!

Ladies and gentlemen, you're all kindly invited to participate. Become part of this historical moment... while you can! :)

Cheers,

Juan
