Let's see your Leica M

Just for the heck of it I tried the ala carte configurator. Over $6,000 for my M7! That's a huge price increase over what I paid for mine. BTW, A mode for me all the time unless I'm using the M3.

No matter what I do, I cannot seem to like the M7. A quick google reveals far too many people complaining about something related to that camera.

I think my next purchase will either be an MP or an M4, if I can find ones that I can actually afford, else I'll get a second M4-P.

My last remaining film Ms. Shinatro crickled blackpaint (aka black hammertone) M3 and Blackpaint M4. Nicely brassed over the years.

ZoomP, do you take requests? :D

Have any more pictures of your Masa Saita M2? I saw a few in the earlier posts, any progress on how well they hold up to use?

Sorry, sold the Masa to a buddy who wanted a Black M2. If you compare the paintwork, Shintaro is up there with the best.

Thanks. That finish is incredibly nice. I can imagine that it cost you a small fortune, but well worth it, I'm sure.

Actually this belonged to one of the Rffers here, who sold it to my buddy in Singapore. I got it from him eventually.

My recently acquired Leica M3 with a LTM Canon 50mm 1.4 with an old Nikon shoulder strap. :)

You or Morgan?

You or Morgan?

Here's my M4-P newly recovered with Deep jade composite leather from cameraleather.com

Did you do the Jade job yourself? or send it off to Morgan? I've done 3 Pentax SLRs w/textured leather, but wonder about de-Vulcanizing a Leica, then the intricate dodge & weave with all the screw heads, etc.

Looks good - I have an M4 wanting Griptac and another for whatever.
