Dirk, have you swapped the bottoms between the M9 and Monochrome in this image or do my eyes deceive me?

The MM bottom looks like brassed black paint.

It's a bit of a sentimental thing - I carry this baseplate from my M8.2 now on the Mono, as that became my most used M as of now.

Looking like a Japanese Yama hood.

It's a crime though to focus on the lens hood - THAT is EXACTLY the dream Leica M7 to have! Beautiful taste there to get it sorted like this - yummy!

:eek: I'm in love... The camera and the leather notebook - so beautiful, so elegant! OK, I would prefer a 50 mm lens, but apart from that, this would be the perfect combo for me. Just add my favorite fountain pen and I would be happy.

I believe its a rugged wear F8. Fits the M7 with a lens mounted, and the fujifilm film case, with another slot for another lens. Plenty of room for other small things.

Oh yeah, the hood is from Japan and it is a Yama. Jonmanjiro picked up a few for me a couple of years back.

Hehe - no, I have to decline, as beautiful, as a silver chrome MP is, it is not special to me, I I might want to bet, it's not as smooth, … none is ;)

The silver chrome MPs are indeed the most beautiful ones, although, I prefer black paint, getting all personal when used.
