I mentioned to Youxin that I'd like an M2 w/o the preview lever, and a little bit later he offered me the converted M1 for $680.HuubL said:Interesting! How much did it cost to put the rangefinder in?

jplomley said:Lorenzo, I also have an M6TTL 0.58 VF. I'm trying to decide between the 21/2.8 and 25/2.8 Biogon. For sure I would need the external VF with the 21mm, but can you get away without it for the 25mm?
lorenzo.ferrarini said:It depends a lot whether you wear glasses or not. My glasses don't allow me to keep the eye very close to the small finder of the M. What I see is a 28mm frame without the corners, and if I move the eye around a bit I can guess the coverage of the 25mm lens.
Personally, when I chose the 25 I did it because I was looking for something wider than a 28 and that didn't reveal itself too much as a wideangle lens.
Anyway, coming back to your question, you can use the 25mm without an external finder even with glasses. It's still faster than to use an external vf, from my point of view. If you don't wear them, anyway, you'll find it much easier.
