Am finding myself increasingly drawn to the beautiful M5 and am wondering if the levers shown go with certain serial nos or is it that bits have dropped out or new parts etc,.I prefer the hollow style of DNGs camera and having now seen this style would like to find out if it belongs to a certain year of production.
sorry for such a silly question/

It's the plastic insert in the middle that dropped out. This kind of mod is pretty easy

Thanks to Jeicob's post on here showing off the M8 with a Claret skin from cameraleather, I felt the need to re-cover my M8 and get rid of the stock skin (which never really bothered me that much anyway).
I'm ecstatic with the results. It's not a Ralph Gibson special edition, but what is, right?

Just wondering how can a filter be fitted to a Voigtlander 15mm lens?
By the way, very nice leather.

Nice
Personally I went back to black (except for the handle which I left with the Claret for now).

Before going back into something black; be warned (or inspired)

Hi,
The delayed action white plastic insert, in your last picture, belongs to the 50th anniversary model M4 (1975)

I no longer own the MP + 50 cron, or the 35 lux. all sold here on the classifieds.
Currently, I own the M7, a DR summicron without the eyes(which may be sold here soon enough), and a 90mm T-E(acquired from the classifieds)

I always wanted to contribute to this thread.
My humble M2 just came in from Keh.com a few days ago. Rated as BGN but is very clean.
Using a J-12 for now until the 50mm LTM adapter arrives or when I could afford a better lens.

Nikkor AIS
Nikkor AIS
The story behind this image is this . I met up with a "Nikon Cafe" member yesterday. David is hell of nice guy and he had a D-70 converted to IR via "Life pixels". Anyways while having lunch I fooled around with the 45 P.C as well as my Nikkor 8mm 2.8 AIS on the IR D-70. As far as the processing I have no idea as he E-mailed me the files from his card that I took and I just added a a little contrast. Im not sure where the color is coming from there is another Images without color he sent and it was B+W but I liked this one
. Im thinking of having one of my D3 converted to IR so I can learn/experiment more, especially with my Nikkor 8 mm 2.8 AIS.
What was cool is that after David got to handle my Leica M7 and the Noct as well as the M6 with the 28 1.9 ASPH Voigtlander I think we got another lecia member joining the fold
.
As far as the image In IR , me likes it. It different, sure it's kind of out there , but isnt that the point in doing IR photography.
