Beautiful. I, for one, LOVE the M5. love how it looks and love how it works....and I've always thought it looks best with a small, compact lens.

It is a Summitar 2/5cm, but it's not made compeletely rigid, that rubber ring serves for two things: first it stopps dust getting into the gliding tube and second it prevents the the tube to protrude pretty far into the body of the M8. It wouldn't touch the shutter, but it doesn't feel alright.
It's perhaps not the most beautiful solution (some would even call it ugly) but it works.

@ janrzm, that M3 DS + 35/2 ASPH in chrome is a very handsome combo - does the M3 have a standard finder or is it modified with a later finder, having 35mm frame lines?
