Uhhhh. wtf?
(Translation: "Well-done", or "very nice" to anyone who can't tell)

if this hood eliminates the circular flare on the 35/1.4 nokton, then I think i might be getting another nokton and one of these... i used to have a big plastic hood for my nokton(s), but they were so big it didnt make much sense, also vf blockage was considerable. kudos for the project, a quite useful one, I'd say!!!

Got this big dude a few months ago. It's the best conditioned and nicest-working Leica I've ever owned.

(Shot on my friend's cell phone camera.)

After a REALLY long wait, I got my new skin from Cameraleather.com. After a little bit shorter, but also long wait, here is a picture of it on the camera. I've been using it daily for the past 6 months or so and it is holding up great. Too bad Morgan is hit or miss on shipping. The products are great.

Very nice, you did a great job!

Leica M4 by bimmer1502, on Flickr

This 1967 M4 is not actually mine; I have it on loan. It's more or less clapped out. Shutter's had a bodged repair done, the vulcanite (what's left of it) is a mess, the chrome is worn through, there's a fairly large dent in the top cover that's been carelessly straightened and only recently the self timer lever clutch packed up so I've added more battle damage repair with a red dot off a Leica Mini-Zoom. And still it delivers the goods.

So as long as it holds up, and as long as I don't get called to return it, I'm going to enjoy this old beater to bits. Probably literally 😀
