Yes, I think they are in good condition for enjoying them as beautiful examples of hand crafted machines and yet still using them daily for what they were designed for - taking images.

if this hood eliminates the circular flare on the 35/1.4 nokton, then I think i might be getting another nokton and one of these... i used to have a big plastic hood for my nokton(s), but they were so big it didnt make much sense, also vf blockage was considerable. kudos for the project, a quite useful one, I'd say!!!

After a REALLY long wait, I got my new skin from Cameraleather.com. After a little bit shorter, but also long wait, here is a picture of it on the camera. I've been using it daily for the past 6 months or so and it is holding up great. Too bad Morgan is hit or miss on shipping. The products are great.

Leica M4 by bimmer1502, on Flickr
This 1967 M4 is not actually mine; I have it on loan. It's more or less clapped out. Shutter's had a bodged repair done, the vulcanite (what's left of it) is a mess, the chrome is worn through, there's a fairly large dent in the top cover that's been carelessly straightened and only recently the self timer lever clutch packed up so I've added more battle damage repair with a red dot off a Leica Mini-Zoom. And still it delivers the goods.
So as long as it holds up, and as long as I don't get called to return it, I'm going to enjoy this old beater to bits. Probably literally
